LA-based collective Grouplove have announced a couple of intimate UK shows, which will take place in November. As part of their international Seesaw Tour, which is currently touring throughout America, Grouplove will play two London shows at the Boston Arms on November 22 and the Slaughtered Lamb on November 23 (tickets go on sale Friday 20 September). With their new album Spreading Rumours releasing in the UK early next year, the band has revealed the video for new track ‘Ways To Go’ (view here) and they will also be supporting Imagine Dragons at Brixton Academy on November 26.
Speaking about the forthcoming UK dates, the band commented – “We are excited to announce that we’ll be back in London for our first international stop on the Seesaw Tour. This is not just a normal tour-- we're spending two nights in each city, playing small and unique venues-- one night heavy, and one night light. This is a chance to see and hang with us an intimate setting with a rock show the first night and a stripped down/acoustic show the second night."
With their second studio album Spreading Rumours (produced by the band’s drummer Ryan Rabin) releasing in the US today through Canvasback/Atlantic Records and with an early 2014 UK release, fans will pleased to see the band back with their trademark glistening, dreamy anthems. Grouplove’s latest single ‘Ways To Go’ charted at #4 on the US Alternative Songs chart upon its release last month and the official video has now had over two million views!
Since forming in 2009, Grouplove have quickly become one of music’s most exhilarating young acts. The band’s debut albumNever Trust A Happy Song released to acclaim in 2011, and for the past two years, they’ve been performing their feel-good indie to sell-out crowds around the world. Previous UK festival dates include Glastonbury, Reading &Leeds and T in the Park and this is their first return to the UK since their debut album took off in the USA leading to rave reviews from performances at Coachella, Boonaroo and Lollapalooza, to name a few.
Grouplove’s debut single ‘Colours’ set the mark for their energetic performances and dynamic sound. Their infectious follow-up single ‘Tongue Tied’ soared to #1 in the US and became the soundtrack to the global TV ad campaigns for Coca-Cola and iPod Touch. The song has now sold over 1 million copies in the US alone.
Grouplove is: Christian Zucconi (vocals, guitar), Hannah Hooper (vocals, keys), Sean Gadd (bass, vocals), Andrew Wessen (guitar, vocals), Ryan Rabin (drums).
