"Top Buzzer play pop-punk in a style that is so fresh and individual. You might just love them." - Kerrang!
“Stunning” – Big Cheese
"This is definitely the kind of stuff I like: fast, punky, poppy." - Damian 'Pink Eyes' Abraham (vocalist from Fucked Up)
Top Buzzer have been making a racket since 2011 after meeting in the unlikely setting of Jersey in the Channel Islands while the trio were on tour with previous bands. The group soon set up their own record label, Back2Forward Records, and released their debut release, The Hands Up EP.
Radio stations in the US picked up on the EP including KROQ in California where the group became the most requested track of the year on legendary DJ Rodney Bingenheimer's show Rodney On The Roq. This led to an American tour in which Rodney even introduced the band at their show at The Key Club on LA's Sunset Strip. Marky Ramone has also played the band on his show Punk Rock Blitzkrieg. This first ripple of success Stateside led to ska punk legends Goldfinger inviting Top Buzzer to support them on their latest tour of the UK.
2011 also saw Top Buzzer release and tour Europe in support of their debut album “Outside Is A World” which received great press from the likes of Kerrang, Rock Sound and Big Cheese. Their debut single “Remission” taken from the album had plays on Kerrang, Q Radio and BBC Introducing – not bad for an independent debut release by a DIY band. The video for the track was also aired on Scuzz TV.
In early 2012, their track "You're So Good You're Great" made it to number 2 on the Strummerville (Joe Strummer's charity) download chart a swell as the band grabbing the attention of Amazing Radio’s Rock Show. April that year saw the release of 'Rebel On The Underground' - An X-Ray Spex tribute album in aid of the US charity Sweet Relief. The band were one of only two acts on the compilation not to be from the States.
Summer 2013 will see the band release The Sprollie EP as well as head to Europe for some shows supporting US legends Face To Face and CH3 before finishing up at the world renown punk/alternative festival, Rebellion.
