2017’s biggest breakthrough artist Rag’n’Bone Man today releases his eagerly awaited debut album Human, out now on Columbia Records / Best Laid Plans. The 2017 BRITs Critics’ Choice Award winner has spent years relentlessly touring, writing and honing his incredible passion for performing to reach this point in his career, as one of the world’s most exciting new talents.
His honest and evocative lyricism on hit single Human has earned the bluesman platinum status in 5 countries and gold in 7, including here in the UK where the track reached number 2 in the official charts. Human has sold over half a million copies and has been streamed over 150 million times in the UK alone, and helped earn him second place in the BBC Sound Of 2017. Along the way Rory has also gained a plethora of fans from legends such as Chaka Khan, De La Soul and Elton John, who regularly plays Rory’s music on his Beats 1 show.
Having already performed on Later with Jools Holland twice – including the annual Hootenanny – and during the BRITs 2017 launch (where he picked up his first BRIT award), Rory will tonight perform his hit single on The Graham Norton Show. He will also make his US TV debut on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon next week.
Having sold out his biggest headline tour to date in record time, Rory also looks forward to headlining a hometown show at Brighton’s Great Escape Festival alongside performances at Wildlife, Parklife, Live At Leeds, Isle Of Wight, TRNSMT, Bestival, Camp Bestival, plus loads more to be announced.
Rory will also headline the Clapham Grand this coming Tuesday as part of the week long BRITs War Child shows.
To help Rory win his second BRIT at this year’s awards and become the only artist to ever win both Best British Breakthrough and Critics’ Choice in the same year, you can cast your vote HERE. The BRIT Awards take place in London on February 22.
