"Nina's songwriting is extremely relatable... the lyrics are perfect" - Arts in Leicester
Nina Rubesa has announced the release date for her up-coming debut EP.
The 5-track EP, “Wonderland” (recorded, mixed and mastered in 6 days) is scheduled for release on June 20th.
In addition, Nina will be holding an official EP launch party at The Fiddler's Elbow in Camden on June 12th.
Free Spirited Pop with a Bluesy undertone and just a little something extra – Nina has created a sound we do not hear often. In the past year Nina released her first music video for her song 'Wonderland', later that year she appeared on Tom Robinson’s BBC 6 music show The BBC Introducing Mixtape and featured on musicmuso.com, a music blog who has supported many artists in their infancy, notably Tom Odell and Ben Howard.
Recently Nina performed at The Natural History Museum and at Oxjam Notting Hill 2013.
Nina Rubesa was born in Switzerland before moving to Canada, The States, Belgium and England. She studied acting in Leicester before moving to London to pursue music full time. Her impassioned, sincere lyrics are highly relatable to us all and the raw emotion in her voice is touching. In her upcoming EP, she explores a wide variety of emotions one goes through while trying to achieve something in ones life.
The official free launch event for the EP will be held at The Fiddler's Elbow in Camden on June 12th, 2014. Doors open at 8pm with the first act on at 9pm.
Every Monday, Nina will be releasing a new hint about what you can expect from the launch party, each week on a different social network page from the last. Launch Hint Number 2, being that anyone who arrives before 8:30pm will be placed into a prize draw which will be held at the end of the evening. The theme for the evening is based on the title of the EP. You can definitely expect a lot of the unexpected. “I want people to feel like they've been transported to a different world - Where anything seems possible”.
