Introducing 17-year-old Theo Altieri from Swindon with his debut limited edition 7” single, ‘Get Along’, to be released in association with Club Fandango on 5th January 2015. The single is also now available to stream on Spotify with bonus track ‘What I Live For’.
‘Get Along’ is a live favourite when Theo and his three piece band perform and - like the live set that has already seen him playing alongside acts such as Babyshambles, The Coronas, Tribes and George Ezra - ‘Get Along’ is raw indie rock ‘n’ roll at its best, infused with a spectacular pop sensibility that showcases a new star in the making. A charismatic and technically impressive guitarist, Theo has already won an Amazing Radio award for Best Unsigned Male Artist and has received heavy support from BBC Introducing.
The video for ‘Get Along’ features a gritty live set from Theo Altieri and was shot at The Rag Factory in Shoreditch by directors Dan Kleinman and Paul Cockcroft who have previously worked with Mick Jones (The Clash) and Glen Matlock (Sex Pistols). The video also features model Laura Helena Murphy, who the band met in the pub the night before the shoot!
Citing influences such as The Jam, Arctic Monkeys and Mac DeMarco, Theo’s songwriting has already earned him a place in Amazing Radio’s Top 15 Most Popular Songs From Breaking Acts over the last five years, alongside the likes of alt-J, Haim, London Grammar and Bastille with his song ‘Hanging on a Hook’, which he wrote and uploaded at the age of 14.
Recently signed to major publishing label Warner Chappell, 2015 will be an exciting year for Theo Altieri with further releases to come and plenty of live shows planned. Watch this space!
