About the Hakkasan Group
Hakkasan Group has pioneered Chinese fine-dining, first in London and now globally, through its Michelin-starred Cantonese restaurants Hakkasan Hanway Place, Hakkasan Mayfair, Yauatcha and HKK. Hakkasan Hanway Place is the original restaurant of the group and opened to critical acclaim in 2001, achieving a Michelin star in 2003, and was the only Chinese restaurant in Europe to receive such an accolade that year. Designed by famed designer Christina Liaigre, the space embodies the design ethos of the modern ethnic now found in Hakkasan restaurants around the world. Wooden screens and latticing made of English oak feature heavily, while the Ling Ling area evokes old Chinoiserie decadence. Hakkasan Mayfair was also awarded a Michelin star for 2012, just ten months after its opening. Recent group openings include Yauatcha restaurants in Bangalore and Delhi, Hakkasan Beverly Hills, and Hakkasan Shanghai to open before year end. The Hakkasan Group is owned by Abu Dhabi's property investment company Tasameem.
