Just an update re the competition, I checked the inbox and there are now 37 entries, there are some pretty cool festivals being cooked up by you crazy mono's, none more so than from my brother who resides on the Isle of Man (I don't think he'd be willing to make the journey for a one day festival). Check out his Dream Festival folks, it is one of the best entries so far, this is the sort of thing you need to be thinking of if you want to be in with a chance of winning some tickets.

I believe the incredible standard of acts will make The Festival at the End of the Universe THE most talked event since Live Aid! The main stage brings together some of the legends of the music biz in a cavalcade of must-see headline slots that fans the world over will be clamouring to see. The Electronica stage has a wealth of talent from yesteryear and today, from the techno pioneers Kraftwerk to the current kings of live electronica, Daft Punk. Keyboard and synth wizard Jean Michel Jarre will also be playing live to the sight of a fabulous holographic lightshow projected onto THE SURFACE OF THE MOON!!
For more laid back grooves, The Orb will be playing non-stop all weekend long, perhaps fitting in three or four tracks. The Britpop stage is where it's at for anyone who enjoyed music "back in the day" and "went mad 'fer it" in the 90s - all the heroes of Britpop in one place? Surely worth the entry price alone!
For fans of the twin wheels of steel, the DJ arena features the legend Grandmaster Flash showing how DJing began, before iconic DJs from throughout the years take to the decks to chart the evolution of DJ mixing. In the inevitable 'hippy' area, you can wig out to the animal-noise merchants The Residents, or perhaps drop some legal highs and zone out to Steve Hillage, Jah Wobble and Mike Oldfield, who will probably be playing an instrument the type of which you've never heard of before.
For those wanting a break from the music, comedy is in full force with the legendary Americans Hicks, Leary and Murphy, joined by one of the top comedians of today - the 'craic dealer' himself, Dara O'Briain! All in all, there's something for everyone at The Festival at the End of the Universe!
