Poltimore Festival was a huge success, the weather was kind to us and it was great to see so many people wandering the grounds, stumbling upon so many varied acts as they explored the house and surrounding area.
From the time you enter the site, you are transported to a laid back place, where time really doesn't matter. People lay on the lawns, chatting, laughing and having a great time, something that is so easily overlooked at larger, more corporate events who only seem interested in throwing bands on a stage and have them whisked off as soon as their set has ended to be replaced with another carbon copy act 20 minutes later.
Celebrating its sixth birthday, Poltimore Festival (formerly AOTM) is Exeter’s very own Glastonbury and is getting bigger every year. This year saw some of the finest South West based musical acts including the awesome Pattern Pusher, the lush vocal tones of Clara Bond and her amazing band and the intricate and beguiling output of Delmar Darion. Other acts included The Little Unsaid, TripToTori and Lottie Jones who made her Poltimore debut.
It's not just music at Poltimore, the day long event crammed art, spoken word, poetry, theatre and film into its schedule as well as offering some of the finest food and drink that the local area has to offer.
We look forward to seeing you there in 2018, that's if you're lucky enough to get a ticket!
